Tour Description
This walking tour touches the most important sites in the historic center.
We'll start at Piazza della Repubblica, the heart of ancient Florentia, then reach Piazza Duomo, where we'll admire the Baptistery, Brunelleschi's Dome and Giotto's Bell Tower.
We'll stroll through the medieval streets where Dante lived, arriving at Piazza della Signoria, the city's political center. Here we'll discover the secrets of Palazzo Vecchio, the history of the Medici family and the sculptures of the Loggia dei Lanzi depicting David, Perseus, Hercules and other heroes.
We'll cross through the Uffizi courtyard to the Arno River and the famous Ponte Vecchio with its charming shops. We'll conclude at the Mercato del Porcellino to make a lucky wish!
